A day trip to Calais provided a lot of knitting time and I finished my second sleeve. My changes to the pattern along the way meant that I had to some maths (well, counting) and a bit of head-scratching before continuing. Essentially the sleeves, which were knit in the round up to the underarm, are inserted into the main body, leaving a few stitches from each to be grafted together for the armpit. Raglan decreases are then worked in the round.

It seems to be looking fine at the moment, but I’ll probably have to try it on tonight to check all the measurements are okay. I’m excited to see how this turns out.
Here’s a close up of where I joined one of the arms. The orange yarn is holding the armpit stitches.
